Brief
Ordering food online is nowadays almost a daily routine and delivery food apps are increasingly more popular. With just a few taps, orders can be made and that’s why we love those apps.
UK based food delivery service Food Hub asked for redesigning their mobile app. I’ve created a modern food delivery UI with a clean design aimed at facilitating home food delivery.
The ordering app template enables to search for what user want to eat among types of food, their favoirutes or actual promotions. Users can see the promos available to get the best deals out there, check out the menu items and easily order as many as they’d like, and pay for their meals. And because safety is always a concern in the food industry, users also have the option of keeping social distance by instructing couriers to leave the food at the doorstep.
Wireframing
User flows of the app remained the same so the first step was to get wireframes designed according to the flow diagram before starting UI design. Therefore my client could have an idea and understand more about the features of the app by doing this. It is also useful to show a wireframe to the client before proceeding with the main design.
Design
The user interface of the app is neat and tidy and allows browse food or restaurants and place an order in just few steps. On the home screen user can find restaurants and type of food and use filters for better results. There is a slider with best promotions and a list of top picks.
User experience
Simple flow and navigations allows users to get to desired destination in a few taps. Thy can use filters to find the best choice of food by selecting food category, restaurant distance or score.
Product card is also very intuitive – user can choose desired amount of portions and add some extras. Checkout page is very simple and can be filled in just one page.
